Dualisms

When you know someone,
think you really know someone
You grow to love this someone
and also hate this someone.

We construct a type of understanding between us,
enjoy the silent moments between us
We grow giddy in the closeness of us
and then turn and destruct the beauty of us.

Unafraid to explore one another,
to rejoice in learning every inch of one another
The fear of closeness grips and you are again drawn to another
and suddenly you find only with the other to another.

But why does it always have to be one or the other?
It is the entire spectrum which provides true fulfillment
For it is true that there exists no love without hate
Nor construction without destruction
But „we“ doesn‘t have to be just you and me
And is instead more exciting when it remains just that, just „we.“
